Make a Local Impact Sponsorships

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we rely heavily on our community and partners to assist with funding. Below is a list of events and programs that we are currently in search of sponsors for. Sponsors may be another organization, a business, or an individual.

Underserved AAPI & BIPOC Food Festival

Date: May 2025 (exact date TBD)
Location: Cambridge, MA or Boston, MA (exact location TBD)

Our Underserved AAPI & BIPOC Vendor Market will be a full day vendor market that is open to the public at no cost. This vendor market differs from other markets in several ways, particularly as we aim to uplift and prioritize businesses and organizations with less funding opportunities and lower revenue streams. There will be no application fee for vendors, and we aim to prioritize the businesses who fit the following criteria:

  • AAPI or BIPOC owned (for-profit) and/or led (non-profit)
  • The business is based in the state of Massachusetts
  • Less than $10,000 in monthly revenue
  • Company and organizational alignment with Panethnic Pourovers’ values and mission statement

The following types of businesses will be prohibited as vendors:

  • Multi-Level Marketing Schemes (MLMs)
  • Private Educational Institutions
  • Organizations, businesses, and corporations exceeding an annual operating budget greater than $150,000

Current Partners: Nine Winters Market, The Asian Business Empowerment Council

We are aiming to raise a total of $10,000 for this event. Your sponsorship and donation will help us to cover venue costs, liability insurance, rental costs for vendor equipment, advertising, and staffing.

Why is this event important to our community? The Asian Business Empowerment Council released a report in June of 2023 concerning the state of AAPI businesses in Massachusetts. Businesses run by immigrants were twice as likely to say their business is doing worse in the past 12 months. Additionally, about 67% of non-English speaking business owners fell in this category. 1 in 5 business owners said they felt the continuation of anti-Asian bias coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic. Only 1 in 6 businesses said they had been able to access capital from banks or other institutions for business financing, and only 3% said they had received capital from outside investors.
