AAPI Heritage Month 2025 Underserved AAPI & BIPOC Festival
In 2024, the Asian Business Empowerment Council conducted research on the state of AAPI-owned businesses in Massachusetts. You can read the results from the report here.
Panethnic Pourovers, Nine Winters Bakery, and NAAAP Boston are teaming up to bring you PePo’s inaugural AAPI Heritage Month: Underserved Vendor Market! Our vendor market will feature underserved AAPI + BIPOC small businesses, creators, artists, and organizations.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Cambridge Arts Council, a local agency which is supported by Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

To be eligible for this market, vendors and organizations must meet the following criteria:

For for-profit businesses and organizations, this means that at least 50% of your business is owned by AAPI/BIPOC identifying individual(s). For non-profit organizations, this means that your executive board consists of at least 50% AAPI/BIPOC identifying individuals. Businesses and organizations that primarily serve AAPI populations are welcome to apply.

Q&A
Q: Is there a vendor fee? What will be provided for us at the market?
A: There is NO vendor fee for this event. Unless accommodations are requested, participating vendors will be provided with one six-foot foldable table, as well as two chairs. Please reach out if you will need more than that and we’ll see if we can accommodate. Vendors are more than welcome to bring their own tables/chairs/etc. in addition to what will be provided. Please make note of this in your application!
Q: How many people will be attending the market?
A: The Foundry boasts a large enough space for this event, however this is the first time this event will be hosted. We plan to market through social channels by Panethnic Pourovers, NAAAP Boston, Nine Winters Market, and all participating vendors and sponsors.
Q: Do I need to get a permit?
A: Vendors selling food and drink (with the exception of pre-packaged goods and non-profit bake sales) will need to apply for a temporary food establishment permit from The City of Cambridge. Panethnic Pourovers may be able to reimburse participants for the cost.
Q: Will I need to provide insurance?
A: Vendors will be required to provide liability insurance or sign a waiver.
Q: Why is this event limited to AAPI and BIPOC owned or led organizations and businesses only?
A: As a nonprofit organization, we adhere to our mission and values. Panethnic Pourovers is committed to making opportunities and resources more accessible to our community members who often are unable to reach these resources/opportunities in the first place. As a primarily AAPI-focused organization, our goal is to uplift and center the voices of AAPI businesses, artists, organizations, and creators; this event is one of our primary ways of doing so. The event is also open to the BIPOC community as we acknowledge the AAPI community’s proximity to whiteness, and we understand that the hard work of many BIPOC communities contributes greatly to the AAPI community.
Q: What if I have more questions?
A: Questions can be directed via email to hello@panethnicpourovers.org.
